YT you're too used to tweaking Warbirds to get it to run :) I have a similar setup except my processor is a 1.2GHz AMD. I run quite happily at 1024x768 32bit colour.

run your resolution in AH at the same resolution or HIGHER than your desktop.

I'd suggest you try 1024x768x32bpp meself

Turn off ground clutter if you need to squeeze out a few more fps when at low alt.

I haven't used ground clutter since the first WB 3D version was released years ago.  You really don't need it and removing it removes one more distraction.  You'll get used to estimating your height above ground/water after only a flight or two without the clutter.

I'm not really sure why HTC continues to use it... Maybe some people can't fly without it, but it's a complete distraction to me and I don't even think it looks all that great.

Er... I meant to say it's perfect, WTG HTC! :)

I run a Geforce3 Ti 200 at 1600x1200 and get 60fps most of the time with vsync enabled.
When running Riva tuner and  vsync disabled I get about 80. Vsync on just looks better to me. I think the Geforce3 will probably go higher (my monitors refresh at 1200x1600= 65 Mhz) is holding it back.

Under video setup I run 32bit and check unlimited frame rate. I have a check in enable mipmapping and also disable palletized textures.

Under clipboard GUI you will probably want the move time slider all the way to the bottom.

I like to fly with the tracers off that’s under clipboard, setup, flight.

Mitsu has put together a really good custom sound pack here is a link

YT !

Revving took the words right off my fingertips. I've even got that same processor as Revvin, and run at 1280x1024x32 resolution. Unlike WB, which needs endless tweaking, setup files etc etc., I got AH to work within 20 mins. of download. All you'll want to do is modify the head positions for your various aircraft.

YT, I should help you with anything you need as you were kind enough to help me with the WB3 setup. One problem I did have with AH was the "White Screen of Death" when starting AH. I've managed to clear this by deleting 2 files before starting. See this thread for details.
