Just thanking HTC for a job well done :)
« on: August 25, 2002, 01:48:28 PM »
I was putting together an AH CD for a friend who doesn't have cable: exe, help, sounds, gunsights, and terrains. Of course along the way I was experimenting with the new illuminated historic gunsights posted on the message boards and updated my sounds with Mitsu's lastest patch.

As I shot down the infamous circling P-51s, I started thinking about all the good times I have had with AH. I started playing online HtH with 1.03 in October of 2000. I was finally able to afford a subscription about a year ago? I don't have a lot of time to fly, but I sure do enjoy what time I get.

The last release fulfilled my biggest request: the P-40B in AVG colors. Just looking over the hangar list, I am amazed at how great this game is: a huge selection of aircraft, plus the fun of vehicles, guns, pt boats, and an ever growing selection of terrains.

Do I want more from HTC? Does an addict always want more crack? Of course. More airplanes, more vehicles, infantry, subs, improved graphics, etc.

But even without anymore additions, AH is easily the best flight sim I have ever played. The only other sim that really cuts into my AH time is Operation Flashpoint, which is much like AH in being diverse, immersive, and fun.

So to all those people at HTC who have worked so hard to make flight sim fanatics like me so happy: Keep up the good work.

Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

What I look forward to each release is not only the planes but the way HTC has innovated and moved Aces High forward with each release full flight record and playback, the voice comms, the bombers it's more than just a token release of new planes.

Before my CD writer died I made a CD of AH for my 9yr old nephew as he's watched me play many times, well it's now on the PC of every kid in his street :) A new generation of addicts maybe? :D (and yes they fly RAF like good little boys should!)

I've always been impressed with all the work HTC puts into this sim, And it is one of the great online sims around .

I remember in the hayday of FA2 when the room would get 200 players in it and top out .. (half the room would end up booted every 5-10 mins) and the lag was unbeleivable.
Alot of people take for granted that a room with 500 players  in it is the tops !!!

Well done and keep up the great work.

oh yea the ...Stuka stuka stuka chant goes here ---> b,g, models pweeze :D
