Putting LuftJägerKorps to bed...
« on: August 25, 2002, 01:55:28 PM »
After 2 and a half years, Raubvogel and I decided today to close the doors on LJK, and move along.

Here's a snappy salute to our members, and the squads we've flown with in AH - it's been fun!

At least some of us will be kicking around AH - just not sure where yet.

Thanks to:
Raubvogel
KampferAs
LJKBear
LJKVR
Dern
glock22
tin
Reschke
Wingnutx
BlitzNz
Taggart

Damn!  :(

This is sudden sad news for the AH community.  Im sorry to hear this.  Any reason you want to share with us?  Is OK if ya dont, I understand.

Salute to a great bunch of guys who were at all times FUN to fly with!!

If any of you guys ever want to fly a few hops with the Flying Mongrels, let one of us know.

Rock:  Ya see that Ensign, lighting the cigarette?
Powell: Yes Rock.
Rock: Well that's where I got it, he's my son.
Powell: Really Rock, well I'd like to meet him.
Rock:  No ya wouldn't.

Nothin' scandalous - Just got to be that time - we were having a hard time getting people online, ended up flying in ones and twos, thought we might benefit from joining up with more active squads.

:( :D

Not being a part of LJK anymore. But as Kratzer said nothing bad just after 2 1/2 years things got hard for me to get time in any game much less this one. So I may be taking a good break through football season and then returning later but right now I can't say that for sure.

I have truly enjoyed my time in LJK and never have I flown with a better squadron than this one. LJK will be missed but I have made some great friends and hope to keep up with all of them for many years to come.

Now that's just plain gay. Sad to hear you guys breaking up. LJK was one of the few cool LW squads. No whining from the LJK guys just fine flying.  I think all squads go through that burn out thing. Mine has. It gets to where everybodys not online at the same time anymore, etc. We just decided to stay together. Let the inactive guys go inactive or whatever. Hope you guys find a squad you like.

The Rooks can always use such fine pilots :) As a LW plane lubber who never flew in any other country, I'd be delighted if I can fly with you guys on the side of the Rooks!
