VOX problem
« on: August 26, 2002, 08:02:14 PM »
I can't transmit at all with vox anymore (some would say that is a plus).

It was working on Saturday during BoB and that night.  When I logged back in on Sunday night, it was not working.  I can hear people, but all they get is the beep or static.  I tried the mic in Windows, and it worked.  I don't have any other voice programs running.  I tried killing AH and restarting it.  I tried just relogging.  I tried rebooting my machine.  None of this worked to fix it.  I tried it again just now, in case it was a transient problem, but nothing.  I don't know what the problem is.  I hadn't changed any settings on my computer at all between Saturday and Sunday.

I am currently downloading AH again to try and see if a reinstall fixes it.

My sys specs are:

P3 866
384MB RAM
Win ME
SB Audigy
GeForce 2 Pro (I think)
DX 8.1
Don't know what else to add

Any help would be appreciated in case the reinstall doesn't work.

Did you make any changes to the system during that time? I would look at reinstalling your sound card drivers and possibly direct x.

Thanks Aurelius, I got it fixed.  For some reason, the system changed some of the mixer settings.  I don't know how they got changed, I didn't add anyhting new or change them myself.  Winblows, go figure.
