Give underdogs incentive!

I don't agree, and do not see how a 2 sided arena could be worse than the current 3 sided setup in the MA.
A 2 sided could lead to better cooperation between squadrons/groups, include independents and encourage use of non fighter assets. Perhaps the pizza map would be better suited for such an arrangement. A war is a war, there is a good guy and a bad guy=2 sides. The ebb and flow of battle as it is right now, has more to do with which unengaged side is milking which engaged side.
Perhaps the time has come to consider a different way of doing things.

What about newbies having a few perkies to burn off in the Main Arena?  75 or so to get em going?  Gives them a few rides in the fun fighters, and a good head start to a 262?

Just a thought.  I know I had a difficult time building up perks since I only fly a few times a week.

Why from 3 sides to 2 sides....  Why not have 4 countries....
4 countries would spread the available pilots out and would probably bring the individual country strenghts back down to where they were last July.

I thought the idea was for someone to actually win the war & reset the map. Silly me....

fine how it is now.

thisis exactly what i fear most.

A load of gamey style ways to ruin a decent sim.

if you want aid to help the last few bases maybe just make the perk rides a little cheaper in perk cost as country is about to fall. Dont just give them away so people fly them like 5 year olds and the maps go on for days!

Ideas like these might work if you didnt have so many people gameing the game. off map flyers, CV hiders, people who try to induce warps, kamakazi types etc etc the list is endless. these same idiots will just learn ways to use me262's to ram or ho kill every other flight and thats all they will do in the closing stages of every map. We'll all get pissed off with the fools and some boring bellybutton on these BB's will think up a catchy derogitory name for them. ;)
Keep the game physics resembling the real world, ie no air spawns at 10k crap and everyone has to do the same to get a kill. You have to get up, fly there, get position and fight.

I can perhaps accept free non perked Me163s only around key targets, as it would be next to usefull for hardly anything else but that job with its poor range and probable high losses through empty fuel ditching but thats very different to 100's of me262s trying to ho you in your c47 just as youre about to win the map isnt it :)

lets have a reasonable help for struggling countries that wont turn AH into a fair ground full of furballs.

free perks for newbies i have always thought would be good. so that those that dont play as much can flyy the jets etc.

Hehe, I don't think yer silly at all; don't be so hard on yerself.
In fact, my point is not whether winning is affected negatively, but its more about HOW winning is accomplished under the current setup; I already posted about that earlier.

Hazed:
I understand your point but, I disagree about the notion of helping the struggling country. As it is, with the usual 2 countries on one scenario, there is no help for the country that is in the tank, and "help" is just prolonging the inevitable.
In addition to that, IMO, its more than a little condescending. Hell, if I'm in the tank and fighting, kill me with bullets and not kindness.
No, my argument is about "how" a country that gets in the tank. The inevitability of it is boring.
