No.9 Squadron RAF are recruiting bomber pilots
« on: August 29, 2002, 01:39:44 PM »

No.9 Squadron RAF are again actively seeking new pilots to join our bomber squadron.

If you are looking for a dedicated bomber squadron where teamwork is the order of the day, where score is secondary to the enjoyment of all our pilots then look no further. Our goal's are simple, get to the target, destroy it and make it home in one piece. You won't find us gaming the game flying above historically correct altitudes or flying heavy bombers over a field straffing with machine guns.

We employ historical tactic's in the arena's we fly in and organise large bomber formations on our squad nights with other players and squadrons. Experience is useful but not necessary as we will teach you the discipline's needed to survive and perform well in the arena's such as formation flying and how to use the bombsight system for maximum effect and we have training articles available to help you. We use speed, salvo and delay settings to maximise our bomb loads and often drop in the more historically accurate 'drop on lead' method.

No.9 Squadron RAF is an open squad where every member has a say in what we do and everyone is given the oppurtuity to lead a squad night should they wish to do so. As well as the regualar arena's we are keen on taking part in scenario's and events and have members taking part in the Battle of Britain event as squad and flight leaders.

We meet as a squad on Sunday's at 8PM GMT and have members from around the world, if you'd like to join us please drop me a line at revvin@ntlworld.com or drop by our forums and say hello.

damman u guy smust be having a tuff time......

unless you get another squad to work with you as Ftrs/Jabo..ur buffs seem to be usless..

I myself used to love buffs(in old version)....I only use box's of 17's now to kill cv's...other wise there are useless....That is if you goal is to capture bases...

Its sad..the bom drift above 14k is really tuff...

You have to have atleast...12+buffs to close even a Small base in 1 pass...

We in the MAW (Marine Air Wing) have just reorganized our squad...I and muckMAw are the Leaders in the Bomber group....

Our primary objectives on squad nigths are to capture bases....So buffs take too much time to clim and such,,then your accurcy is way off if you 20k+

AND AGHH they sure seem to pop easy by a one pass 109.....

I know its go tto be tuff on the Buff Squads.....I remeber those Dam heavy Dickweed guys shutting down almost all our bases!!..lolo

I love the formations..btu i think we need more in a formation per person...how about 12 buffs per person??..ok 9??..lolo

Good Luck guys....

Love BiGB

The 4th picture in my post display's damage done by a single formation at 20k+. Where the first bomb hit in that picture is where my crosshair was when I pressed the release. The spread was made using a selection of speed, salvo and delay. Five lancasters could have closed that field so to answer your question no we are not having a tough time and yes we have a lot of fun.

We fly with other squad's and regularly organise missions with fighter escort. Generally we hit startegic targets but we also hit airfields when needed. Good luck with your squad too BGBMAW.

For those looking to join a squad proficient in bombing look no further you've found us.
