US pilots at one field, Aussie Canuck Brit and who ever at seperate surrounding fields each country orientated to form on US pilots at a designated RV.

Symbolising a world coming together behind a US led fight?

Worthy? or not?

I smell a MA mega-warp in the making :D

I think I'll just watch TV to remind me of why I hope the US is gonna do a rememberance fireworks display.... over Saddam.

Sounds a great idea... unfortunately it will be 2am here in the UK, so I doubt I will be able to make it, as I have to be up for work 5 hours later... hope it comes off OK and goes well.

Neat idea.    I guess

Ive always had a reluctant attitude towards mixing genuine real life issues/events (like deaths and car crashes) with "lets have fun pretend killing" games like AH.  I will pass on any sort of "in-game" tribute with respect.

We did many of these memorial flights in AW, and they never failed to be touching. I'd participate.

One of my favorites was a tribute to a squadmates Father who passed. He was a crewman on B-24's, so we all upped bombers. At a given signal we all dropped our ordinance and it sounded like the 4th of July.

Some of us sentimental fools like this symbolism. If you feel it is wrong thats OK, but please try not to rain on the parade.

I participated when a player passed away.

I could opt out of the 9-11 thing (that was my point).
if some feel the need than by all means proceed.

For myself, I'd pass.  It's time to move on IMO.

I hate to be a wet blanket, but this is just another example of slacktivism.

Slacktivism is kinda like 'everyone turn your headlights on during 9-11 to symbolize' etc.

No real effort is required, just a couple minutes flying different in a video game.

If you want to do something special (and you are in the US), examine how you feel about this country and determine if it you feel strongly enough about it to put up a flag.  I'm not saying it will cure hunger or cause world peace, but it seems that it would be someone more meaningful.

Please note, I'm not just saying 'put up a flag'.  Only do it if, on reflection, you realize that you feel strongly enough about this country to do so.

People in other countries can probably find similar things to do that are appropriate for them, but in the grand scheme of things, 20 people flying their virtual airplanes together for 15 minutes (with the associated firefights that will start when newbies/jerks show up) is really not that big of a deal.

I suggest that you hold it in the Sea arena at a specific time .   dont use the main .... (We held these things in FA all the time and the lag /warp was always terriable )

So if this flight will have players from all three countries, what happens when the destination is reached, will it just turn into a big furball? Will bishops be forced to fly out in front, just in case someone gets a bit trigger happy? :)
