i was wondering why a goon or m3 wouldnt be able to resupply a landed plane. I ask this because i not only dont keep track of fuel consumption i have a nasty habit of running off he end of runway when i'm out of fuel.

This would be very cool. Just modify vehicle supplies so that planes can use them too. This way a goon w/ supplies can accompany any big mission and set up a temporary base on a nearby staging island where there's some open area.

This would be a sweet addition to the gameplay. Not only would it be cool on its own merits, but it would also add the requirement of flying patrols around the re-fueling/fixing area while planes were on the ground so that a marauding enemy couldn't just take out 3 guys at once.

good idea - this would allow someone to create the equivalent of a 'secret field', like what the luftwaffe had on the autobahns & elsewhere. if you're on the map, you're a target

Setting up temporary forward bases to lauch stike aircraft happend in North Africa. Some were very successful.
