RIVER REPORT:

UPPER ROARING FORK --- ASPEN DOWNSTREAM TO BASALT

September 1, 2002

FLOW --- Flows are @ 210 CFS

WATER TEMPERATURE --- 60ish!

WATER CONDITIONS --- Excellent! With flows up on the Pan the Fork is in Prime shape!!!

FOOD SOURCES PRESENT ---- Some Caddis and some BWO's! Try hopper dropper combinations!!!

APPROPRIATE PATTERNS ---- Marshmallow Hopper, Rainy's Hopper, Charlie Boy Hopper, Stimulators in Orange & Yellow! Blk BLM's, Tungsten PT's, Princes, Lite Brite Princes, Electric Caddis, Poxyback Baetis, Loop Winged Emergers!!!

TIPS --- Flourocarbon is ideal for the clear water on the upper Fork! Also a good high floating DRY with a nymph two feet below is an excellent tactic for this water!

uhm... the river is too low.. splashes all over the place.. then there's the dead fish flesh and owls and eagles grabbing up all your hardly-earned booty.

Thx Wlfgng!

I am definitely going to try and do this. I figure another 3-5 days of hard hittin and I should have earned a kitchen pass.

I do owe her though. .some of this stuff got put off 4 years while I was doing some work with the local kid's baseball league.
