You guys down south will be thanking us later when this legislation goes through...It'll sorta be like the Al Capone days with black market shipments of British Columbia weed...except the guys selling you your "stuff" will be a lot more dangerous than your old school mobster...Until prohibition is lifted once again.

BTW,I never smoke week(but I know a lot that do)..The worst thing I ever saw a stoned person do was overdose on potatoe chips...Unlike the raging drunks who get braver with every drink.

It's freedom of choice if you ask me...:)

I guess this explains why most Canadian posters (on political and social topics) come off like '60s Berkley students...

And visa versa, some of you posters come off like those that did the shooting at Kent State.

You guys wanna stop pissing off the Canadians?

We in the US owe them alot.

They took in most of our French for us.

They gave us John Candy.
(but then again they also gave us William Shatner, Jim Carrey and Micheal J. Fox)

They have better beer than we in the US have, and it's is fairly easy to sneak back across the border.

But most importantly they are a friendly people, in fact Canadians are said to be so friendly they rarely leave a buddy's behind. :D

Its is very hard to stop someone who dedicated to a cause.  I have worked check points on the Mexican border with the US Border Patrol.   Most of what they find is due to luck.  I can only imagine what takes place up North.

I was going to say thank you for relieving us of our French but didn't want to piss off half the country.

William Shatner defines over-acting and is a national Canadian treasure.

And I'm not touching the "buddy's behind" comment.

Oh, but you can and then some, in fact you can own some things up here without even having to register them (m203 is a good example) which require class 3 permits or worse in the USA.

The only trouble is is you can't do much with them LIKE you can in the USA with all the stupid classes and restrictions regarding use and transport.

Oh, I think it was a bit more than that.  And we weren't alone.

I think you are confusing some issues.  Canada declared war, one day after Great Britain and her colonies did.

Anyway i'd like to add "very drunk" that  'americans' can kiss my bellybutton if they don't give up thier 'nazi' 'commie' ways and just let people live in thier VICTIMLESS "crimes" ... soon they will find the effects of brain drain ....

why do you think america is powerful now?

because people with 'brains' left behind an opressive country to a 'free' one.  People with a drive.

I hope we can right ourselves before we fall into the path of every 'old' country and think we know better for every one else.

Look at history ... do we want an american 'brain drain' from our stupid power hungry Washinton fek's?   I don't think so;

i think it's time we voted for ANYTHING but democrat or republican
but that's proably too much to ask for.

so i guess this educated guy will move if this keeps up.

I'm tired of them takeing advantage of people who know 'less'.

(i've had jobs where i'm supposed to take advantaged of this fact)

if you think this is good maybe that's america ... if so i'm moveing.

and no i'd hate moveing .. i LOVE the USA  but ..... people have a way of makeing great things bad if they are sttubron/evil.

in my experiance sttubron and evil go hand in hand.

PLEASE ARGURE WITH ME .. GIVE ME REASON TO STAY.

P.S. btw this ain't about 'drugs' this is about 'americans' being pig headed 'nazis' throwing the constitution out the window in the name of 'safety' and 'family values'

i'd love to hear someone disagree without useing a tangent. but i doubt you can do it .   (     but like i said before some people may buy your BS .. but beware the brain drain)

I've had a perfectly legal job that i've come home from feeling dirty.  Maybe i should take up dealing drugs?.. at least it's honest ;well maybe not.. but i think you get the point.

go on beliveing CNN then, and disagree with me;  unless you have a 'real' argument?

America isn't the America that was created some 225 years ago.  The power of america has made us weak.  People no longer know what freedom is, and few understand that freedom isn't free.  The concept of having to fight for freedom is forign to most people.  People are willing to sacrifice thier freedom in order to save the lives of a few hundred, maybe a few thousand people.  (Which are really insignificant numbers when you look past how terrible it is)

The problem with freedom is that people sometimes will die.  Deaths that could have been prevented by a police state.  That doesnt make the coming police state a good idea.

The problem has nothing to do with the government.  People take freedom for granted.  The idea of giving up little bits of it here and there are okay with most as long as there is no immediate effect.

Like the social security card, which was originally "Not for identification", once a system is in place, and has been accepted, it will be twisted to be used for any possible purpose.  Saying "It won't be used for anything that might invade your privacy" really means "We'll wait untill you get used to it before we do anything you wouldn't like now".
