If you look on your keyboard you'll see this button that says, "Caps Lock"....

You don't get 'scored' for the kill, as you don't get any perk points for it nor regular points.  It will be counted in your total kill tally however, just like proximity kills.

Chutes GET prox kills.  So if you auger trying to kill one, you'll give him a kill.

You'll notice killed chutes dont take deaths though.

Duedel, is that you on the left?  :D

K2

I rarely shoot a chute, it gets them in the air faster.  I laugh when it takes three-four passes to shoot my chute.

Ah-HA!  You've answered my question.. It all makes sense now.

After reading the past few weeks diatribe about "Chute Shooting",, I took to bailing (once all shot to pieces) right over the nme base,, buzzing with MILLIONS of red fighters..

What a visual!  They literally crashed INTO each other, augered into the ground, spun, stalled, wasted Ba-Zillion rounds of ammo,, trying to nail the little man in a chute.

Here's the deal..  One time, as I'm floating down to dead-center nme runway,, (just before the field ack got me), I hear Zoooom, Bang, Smash,,

"SYSTEM: You have shot down ThisOne  #1"
"SYSTEM: You have shot down ThatOne  #2"
"SYSTEM: You have shot down SomeOne  #3"
"SYSTEM: You have shot down No-One  #4"
"SYSTEM: You have shot down Every-One  #5"
"SYSTEM: You have shot down TheOtherOne  #6"

WOW!

More kills than I've ever gotten in my flyable life!  From a parachute! HAhahahahaaa!!

There's no comic relief anywhere like a would-be chute killer augering under your pilot's feet.  :D

I'm curious why people even bother to bail out.  Unlike real combat, this isn't life and death... so does bailing in AH give someone the sense that he would've actually survived to up again?  All I see bailing doing is delaying my re-upping.  Maybe I'm missing something.

If I can get an enemy to waste even more ammo killing my chute, I will  :)      As long as an enemy is shooting at my worthless chute, it's not shooting at any friendlies who might be around.

You get half the points for getting killed as you get for bailing successfully.  That's why people bail.

I don't care about that, but it appears that many folks do.

Starting about 2 to 3 tours ago I quit bailing out of planes . I only bail if the enm is already dead and I am over my base and am too shot up  land . If not I just ride the squeak down and die .

I DO love to shoot chutes though :D Plus I love to hear some squeak after .
