I have 2 desktop mic's and do not use AHVoice to much but I'm thinking of trying it more.
What is a good headset mic? Economy is the main factor.
Does the game sound interfere with headset mic's and should I consider sound on the headset also?
I could probably get by with the desktops with rearranging positions of things and such but it would seem the headsets are more convienient... conveenient...conv [ah phooie!!] easier to use.

I have Labtec Axis 502 set. Quite cheap and works well.

I noticed a lot of guys at the AH Con using Plantronics headsets. I tried one out and decided I had to have one. Had it over a month now and just love it.

Plantronics here too, affordable, comfortable, and very good IMHO.

Plantronics90 ROX been using there products 2 years no problems. And very comfortable!

I use a Labtec 24 buck headset from Best Buy. Love it.

One concern I have about the 'full ear coverage' models is the weight. I am cursed, or have the gift [ take your pick] of being able to fly for hours, do they get heavy and fatigue your neck or start to feel heavier the longer you fly?
I probably should have added that to the initial post.

Any Plantronics or Labtec headset will give you great quality comms. I use the headset that came with my MS Game Voice, it's a Labtec LS-1 which you can buy separately, its lightweight and nice to use. I had to replace my sons headset after he broke it and bought a Labtec Axis 302 stereo/mic headset for £12 and for the money I can't fault it!

Thanks for the tips given so far, any options for those of us that have their PC's hooked up to their HIFI and want a headset mic without the headphones?

Dabs (UK) has all the plantronics and labtec stuff but they all seem to have at least one headphone attached... can you take the headphone speaker off or do they not interfere with outside noise too much?
