Someone should make an online COPS and Robbers game with lotsa different scenereos and maps like Americas Army. Example, a bank robbery map, liquor store holdup, OJ on the run, drug bust, etc... That would be fun. Was watching a COP show on TV yesterday and the idea came to mind.

Well, it isn't exactly that, but Mafia lets you shoot it up as a 1930s mobster. Really, really good game.

Problem with "cops and robbers" style games is that the biggest problem in doing something like a bank robbery is crowd control. Simulating peoples behavior, and dealing with people in any way more complicated than shooting them in the head is beyond what can currently be done. (I assume you mean something like that, If you just want to blast everything in sight, try CS)

The people waiting to get into the game could play the bystanders. Think this would make for a very fun game. Wonder why nobody has done it yet. I posted this subject hoping some of you might be savy enough and go out and actually make this game. If there are game developers out there, go do it man.

You spawn as a bank robber, only to get jumped by a half a dozen suicidal hostages! lol ;P

GTA3 is kind of like that - also an excellent game, but it is more about driving than fighting.
