I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the Rooks and their french-like tactics.
It seems (to my jaundiced eye) that not only are the Rooks reset more then anyone else, but whenever the war goes against them, the Rook team will shrink and both the Knights and Bishops will suddenly swell, almost in exact sync.
So basically, there are a lot of people who identify themselves as Rooks that switch sides at the first sign of trouble.
I don't know if this is a problem with competency, but it seems awfully opportunistic.
That said, the core rooks that remain are pretty magnificent. I've seen vastly outnumbered Rooks battle their way back from the brink innumerable times.
I'm a bish, and as long as Bishops remain the default team, I think we'll have a higher percentage of new players (eg, least competent by definition until they learn) then any other team.
Is this bad? No, in the same sense that 'ignorant' just means you don't have the info yet. It sounds like an insult, but it's a non-judgemental term. By that logic, we're not competent because we suck, but because we have a lot of people that are new.
