Here's a thing i've noticed (or maybe imagined?).
As I was serial dying in the CT the other night, I tried out a 110 and noticed that when I changed to the rear gunner position, the plane 'bounced' as if a person had physically moved about in it. Later, attacking a formation of Havocs, i thought I saw the same bounce on a plane as the defender moved around in it, or switched between planes.
It's hard to spot, doesn't seem to happen if plane is in auto-level, and I certainly haven't seen it consistently across the planeset.
I'm wondering if anyone else has noticed this, or done tests on it?
It seems to me that if this 'bounce' is actually happening as crew move around, then maybe only one crew member's weight is being modelled in these planes. This might account for the impressive performance of some bombers/attackers (o.k. - impressive as perceived by me when i have to dogfight a Havoc in my 109e, maybe i'm just crap)
If the crew member is there already, surely there should be no shift of weight when I switch positions. Or perhaps the weight of the full crew is modelled, but is 'distributed' across the craft, though these seems a clumsy explanation and not really in AH's usual league.
I'm curious about this, but am by no means certain of what I think I've seen. Any thoughts from the more experienced out there?
