Data on field capture/ bomber ranking.
« on: September 11, 2002, 05:44:25 AM »
I was watching my score for bomber recently.

I was #4 in damage/death + 1 and # 13 in damage per sortie, my % was high with a low rank and my points were low. I had zero field captures.

My bomber rank (overall) turned out to be 340 after that.

I am now several bomber sorties into my tour, I have slipped to 50 in damage/death + 1 and mid 60s for damage per sortie. my hit % has dropped slightly while my points have risen very slightly. I have 1 base capture.

As I write this, I am now ranked 14.

My total bomber points have only risen very very slightly, and all my ranks are higher (in number) except field captures.

Why do base captures count for so much of your bomber ranking? Am I missing something else that is effecting this score?

Nope I dont think so base capture gets your score way up.

I came to same conclusion as you after my first field capture.

Having stats in every category is important it seems

Why does flying unarmed in war give you a high bomber rank?

I think bomber rank should be based on your ability to bomb something with bombs, not troops.

If a goon is able to drop, a bomber or jabo group has already hit the town and most times a fighter cap is in place. Why does doing the clean up job give you a bigger score than knocking out an enemy's HQ?
