On Sept. 11th, 2001, terrorists struck the World Trade Center towers and the Pentagon, killing over 3,000 Americans. That day will live on forever, as the day America lost it innocence. We were attacked by terrorists for speculated reasons, but no one will ever know the real reasons.
Now that a year has past, no one will ever forget that day. And no one should. Be you patriotic or not, there will never be a way to forget 9-11-01. Mayor Giuliani was a hero that day, as well as everyone who came to the aid of those who were trapped in what was left of the Towers. The FDNY and the NYPD are heros, and those aboard Flight 93. "Let's roll..." will always be known as the voice of heros. The voice that saved many more Americans. Those aboard that plane were most likely the real heros of 9-11.
Let us never forget 9-11, and let us prevail as we have. President Roosevelt said it best in December, 1941. "This nation will endure, as it has endured..." and we will. We cannot let fear rule us...we all must be strong. Tonight...say a prayer for those who died that terrible day, and tell your loved one that you love them...for it could be the last time you say it to them...as those people found out.
