This was a while ago but I will always remember it.

I think it was Animal in a P51 and he was being chased and fired on by some plane and I was in the vicinty, flying slowly and almost perfectly perpendicular to their course. As they got closer, some 1000 yards on a diagonal I aimed and fired 2 rounds from my Mk108 30mm "tater gun".  A fireball apperared under my nose just as the con crossed my flightpath. :D

I was in a P47D30 about 20K trying to keep the attention of a couple of Me-262's in the area.  They were being very careful and extending well out of icon range with each pass.  Eventually, they got seperated, or one may have died attacking bombers or something, but anyway one of them came back for me.  I'd climbed up to around 25k when I saw him coming HO coalt... so I dipped down for speed to 20k again.  Jet pilot was doing exactly the same but when I leveled he kept diving hard... I assume he didn't want to HO a Jug :).  I cut the throttle and slowed, bled off as much E as quickly as possible and then shoved my nose down a good 45 Degrees and layed out a nice long burst of 50's.  The 262 flew through the burst WAY  down below me... I couldn't believe the amont of time betwen my letting go of the trigger and seeing the hit sprite but Me262 kept going.  I pulled a 180 expecting the 262 to either loop back to me or extend forever again.. but after awhile I found I was gaining....  I was almost in range to tear the Jet apart when he augered.  Turns out I'd given ole Fariz a lucky pilot wound.

I was flying over a radar factory at about 1k and it was smoking , i heard a 262 was on the deck near me so i turned around and was about to go through the smoke and all of a sudden i saw a 262s icon 500 out headed right towards me , i pulled the trigger and got hit sprites all over him , a few seconds later i got the kill msg.   I was in Hurri IIC

Ok, mine is kind of on the opposite end...

I'm in a F4U-1C, about to HO a JU-88... That's 4 dang hispanos against a single rifle caliber MG...
AND I LOOSE!!!  Blew up in the air even!
(Maybe I collided with him, not really sure.  But I totally dweebed-out, missed the shot and he ratta-tatted me solid all the way in on the merge.)

So my best shot ever goes to the other guy.

Fired two rockets at a single B-17 in a B17 formation. The rockets hit, two of the B-17s exploded instantaneously, and the third one lost a wing. Maybe not amazing, nor lucky, but damned fun.
