While this may not be the designated forum for this kind of issue, I'm so impressed with the collective knowlege of you who regularly contribute to the discussion here that I thought I'd run my problem by y'all (that's "you all" for those of you in Yankee Land) and see if you can at least give me some insight to the nature of my connection difficulties. Here goes:
Every stinkin time I log onto AH the same thing happens, in the following order: 1) I get into the game; 2) Fly for 4 - 10 minutes; 3) Lose UDP, switch to TCP, then disco a minute later; 4) I then must exit the game and completely reboot. Takes about 3 minutes to get back into the game from this point. Now here's the wierd part, this happens about 3 - 4 times the first 30 -45 minutes, then after that I can play for hours uninterrupted!
I've checked th ol' Ping Plotter, nothing suspicious there. I have a 56K, dial-up connection - could that be th problem? I dunno. Just cornfused and frutrated here. I've tried talking to HT techs about it, but they didn't get back to me.
Any ideas you fellas may have I'd sure appreciate your input. Heck I might be a pretty good shooter, but it's hard to tell, cuz about teh time I'm fizxin' to lower the hammer on a scuzzy Nit or Bish (j/k) I get the ol "Lost UDP..." msg.
