from Orange Today:
The king of Australian sheep counting has been crowned following the inaugural championships.
The event attracted around 100 contestants to the outback town of Hay in New South Wales.
Each had to try and count the sheep as they dashed past them, with the one coming closest to the correct number winning.
The Independent on Sunday reports that it came down to two men and one sheep.
Peter Desailey from Wyvern Station beat Nick Wragge from Toganmain Station, accurately counting 277 sheep to his rival's 278.
Professional sheep counters, who work at auction yards across Australia, can count up to 60,000 sheep a day.
No details on how many sheep were counted fleeing Grapevine, TX.
