Memory and CPU usage....

I know this isn't the correct forum, but it's in regards to getting your game to run maybe a little better if you are having problems.

This program someone found and I decided to give it a shot. I haven't tried out Aces High with it yet, but I used it for B17II and that is a real memory hog with shotty memory management... kinda like Winbloz '95/'98.

It really boosted my performance in B17II and I don't get lock ups like I used to(and I have 326MB of RAM).

It's freeware, and it's called RAM IDLE. YOu'll find a link to it about 1/4 of the way down from the very top of the page. It's a great program and it actually works! It removes stuff from memory on the fly when it reaches it a certain level. Also keeps the usage of Winbloz swap file to an absolute minimum.

Another great tool is Tweak All, from www.abtons-shed.com  One of the best tweak programs I've ever used. You can manually free memory, overlcock your vid card, change the Uninstall Programs list to remove programs you got rid of, and a load of other stuff. You can set cache size for your hard drive and CD-ROM too. You might want to download the help file fix, since the help fine might not work properly. It didn't work when I got it, but the fix made it work. It can run at start-up, or you can start it when ever you want. It's just plain handy!
