Is Pyro on strike??
« on: September 19, 2002, 10:40:15 PM »
I did some searching on the message boards and I found a disturbing trend.

Pyro has only posted on the boards one time since June. Yes it's true.

What gives? If If I wanted to be ignored I would talk to my wife??

I hope he *is* taking a break from the BBS.

Those of you that have never been on the other side of one of these things can't understand how draining it can be.

How he's managed to do it for as long as he has is beyond me. He's a far better man than I in that respect.

What game companies need are people whos only job is to be a board potato.  I've seen it done on a couple of other games, the turnover rate on them is amazing, but it keeps the developers from burning out.

All our whining like babies probably gets annoying after a while.

Plus I bet they got to work really hard on making the best Stuka B,D3, D8(with 20mm!) and G-1 ever. So I can kill spitnikis and flakpansies with em!

I believe posts made under the name "Hitech Creations" in our News & Announcements section are usually Pyro posting.

SUPERFLY's answer actually makes it sound more diabolical than it is. Like he's locked himself in a closet with a PC posting under a pseudonym.

Anyway I post allot of data and charts. It would be nice to know I wasn't talking to myself. What HTC doesn't seem to realise is that the message boards are more than just a byproduct of Aces High. They are in fact an entire seperate entity with a slightly different if not altogether seperate following. I mean that some of the people that play the game never post on the boards and some people on the boards are never on the game.

For me it's to seperate hobbies. One of zoned out gameplay Zen and another of research testing and posting data trying to prove or disprove a point.

For me one is not more important than the other. I don't think HTC had this in mind when they started.

He deserves a long vacation.

Everyone at HTC reads the boards several times a day.  Some of us are just more vocal than others.  :)

Maybe he's getting laid alot?

Of course, I only see what he posts here and what he does in the MA.  I know virtually nothing about the man.  I think its important for people to realize that we don't really know squat about each other.... definately not enough to use words like "hate".
