Up a osty, ping a firendy. 1 hit will result in you exploding. Go to the DA with sombody, do a osty vs osty match. I have taken 20+ 37mm without dieing.

They probably have damage multiplier built in as punishment for those stupid enough to shoot friendly.

Leave killshooter alone, not broken.

I think its this way even though u were in a osti u hit friendly air plane so.... instead of him dieing its u. that one shot would have killed him but killshooter is on so u died no matter what u are in. so its like reversed

My Opinion on it

Damned hard to hit a plane unless its coming right at you anyways. Lucky shot or you were shooting at your own guy on purpose.

Remove the multiplier!  You should take damage equal to the damage you inflict.

There are occasional instances where you WILL hit a friendly with a round or two, without it being anyones fault.  Your plane shouldn't fall apart because you hit someone with a couple of .303's.

Cue Occam:

Damage inflicted to friendly is mirrored to self. Plug a smoke round in the pilot headrest of a Lancaster = instant panzer interior redecoration.

"You should take damage equal to the damage you inflict. "

That's probably what is happening now....1 37mm Ostie hit will kill most airplanes, so instead of the friendly airplane dying the KS Ostie dies.

I've noticed that on the rare occasionas I killshooter myself (maybe once every 6 months), I seem to do more damage to myself if it's a "weak" plane I accidentally shoot as opposed to tough aircraft like bombers.   I suspect this is because they'd be taking proportionally more damage from my bullets than a tough airplane would.

If this is indeed what is happening, this would explain why KS damage seems to do more than normal damage (like why an F4U KSing on a Spit will die faster than an F4U being shot by a .50-armed enemy plane).

Not too long ago I was flying a Mosquito when I came across a friendly Lanc with engines out and under attack by an enemy La-7.  I dove down, quickly lined up the shot and fired cannon only.  Two rounds (at least) hit the Lanc and I heard two crunch noises (I have wood impact sounds for the Mossie getting hit).  Nothing on my Mossie was damaged.

I strongly doubt there is a damage multiplier on KS.  I suspect that it simply applies whatever would have happened to the target to the shooter instead.  A Lanc being a big, tough bird can take two 20mm Hispano rounds with nothing breaking, thus I lived.  If it had been an A6M2 I would probably have got the good old "instant trip back to the tower".

BTW, the La-7 exploded outright from the large number of Hispano rounds that slammed into him.:D

What I found out is that you can hit a friendly airplane in a tank whenever you want and you will not die. When you hit another tank w/ an osty than u die automatically...opposite for planes...planes kills planes, but planes can't kill tanks on KS... all hope this helps

True enough with the osty, but the diff between a 1hit kill and a .25 hit kill is hardly noticable.

The multipler is most noticable with .303 and .50 bullets.  Two .50 bullets will send your tail flying.

Well I too think killshooter needs to be changed.  It should not have any effect.  Just like when you try to shoot your own hangers or ack the bullets just have no effect at all and they could program friendly fire the same way.  That kills their arguement that if they turned it off then you would have people shooting through you to get to the con in front of you, if the bullets just die at your ship with no effect then the only thing they are doing is hurting their own score, hit percentage wise.
