I thought the early Tiger had No AA MG, note the early comander couple.

Look at the suspension, I'm reading a book about ground attacks in WW2 and the pilot stated that .50's could wreck the suspension system fairly easily because of the use of rubber in the christy like suspension system...this tank has no skirting to protect the drive/suspension wheels.....could be unfinished though.

Tigers did not have shelds like the Earler German tanks, they had overlaping road wheals though which I do belave were very reselent to MG fire and other battle damage what with the redundant nature of the road wheals. They did tend to get cloged up with mud though.

Its not a christy type suspension, the rubber is just to improve the ride and removing it will not impede the vehicle

I am not sure what kind of tiger they intended to model. the cuppola is high but has a bump around the bottom, and has an aamg like bradey said..

There were mid production models with the late cuppola and rubber tired road wheels..it could just be a questionalble cuppola model on one of those..

Brady,

I've never heard of such problems with Tiger.
More on the opposite - for the weight being good with mobility all around compared to III and IV chassis.
Problems being more in the engine than it's pretty good suspension.

In fact Tiger had more advanced mobility than IV / III chassis.

I recall reading whear they would half to actualy pull off the outer road wheals to get the mud and grass out that got packed in their, how much of a problem it was is another matter, but you are of course corect the wider tracks and the torshion bar suspenshion sys were great for dispersing the weight, the Panther had basicaly the same system as well.

1,354 produced fromJuly 42 to Aug. 44

1st platoon of the 502nd schwere Panzerabtilung was used in action for first time near linengrad Aug. 42

The Tiger was issued to a few independent Heavy Tank companys and as an inhearent part of some of the more prestigiuos Divishion's, Grossdeuchlad and 3 SS divishions.

But by the time of the Ardness Offensive the Tiger 1 was becoming increasingly rare Only TWO Tiger 1's were part of the initial assault, the King Tiger was by this time far more common. Nearly 500 King tigers were produced from January 44 to March 45.

The Tiger Tank is simply more famious than the Panther or the Tiger II, and It was in service longer, Also They saw combat From N Africa(granted only a couple actualy made it to N Africa), to Italy and on both the Easten and Western Fronts, their for they could be easly included in a ton of special events or CT set up's.

IMO the Panther with nearly 6,000 produced( of all types) was a far more important and simply a better tank, but it losses out to the Tiger because of the Hollywood effect:)

But If you want the Bigest and Badest the King Tiger bar non( except maybe the JS III which afik did NOT see action in Europe) Would be the ultimate Perk Tank.

But it will Be as has already been mentioned a BomB magnet.

i have been waiting for the tiger for a long time, and finally its here (almost)

I do think that a sherman or T34 would be more needed because of scenarios and stuff, but the tiger will be cool for MA.

what kind of perk would you guys like to see?

im thinking just 5-10 perks, cause it will be a sitting duck for AC.

Does not matter really for me, I have plenty gv perks
