Howdy from the other "13th TAS" guy

Howdies friends!

Some of you may remember me as LivingLegend, or Doom, from the old AW/Warbirds days. I have been out of flight sims for quite awhile now, but got a phone call from an old friend the other day and he told me about Aces High. From what I have seen so far it looks great, and I'll probably get rehooked again!  *shakes fist* CURSE YOU OTTO!  :)

I morphed into a MMORPG guy the last few years, playing Ultima, then Everquest, and now Dark Age, but I still recall fondly where it all started....back in Air Warrior.

Otto also mentioned that folks were still talking about the vaporware game of 13th TAS. I really went ROFL when I heard that, since it all seemed so long ago.....

First off, altho I did lose about $8k on that venture, I lost MANY times more on my later daytrading escapade. Although I wish the dreams we all had back then of what 13th TAS was promised to be had come to fruition, alas they did not. Although I was badly misled as to my partner's background and capability of programming such a game, I do not begrudge him that. Life is too short.

Second, I have heard that there has been talk of the non-disclosure agreements still swirling around. Let me tell you all that those puppies were trashed long, long ago, when it became obvious the need for those was in the same context as the (non-)game itself.

It is very nice to browse these boards and see so many familiar names from the past, after TWELVE years, and I hope to shoot each and every one of you down in the very near future.  :)

Not sure if this is really doom.

Hey doom what happened to your silver loving cup? You recall what I did to it in the "club"? If you know the right answer it will have to be really doom.

We'll know if it's really doom once he gets into the arena.

AH models the earth's curvature from up there, doom.

Don't. No one else would have known about the F6F model.

I am humbled to think anyone would even want to pretend to be me.  But thank you Monte.

I do confess tho, I confused Mr. Barr with Aggies in an earlier post made on this thread, but then when I saw his sig about being the "worst shot in the 13th TAS" it refreshed my memory.

:D

Have a nice day fellas.
