RADEON 9700 and AcesHigh
« on: September 22, 2002, 03:53:54 AM »
System: P4-2.4, 512Mbyte RAM, Win98SE, 2.3 Radeon Catalyst drivers, Dx8.1.

Settings: 1280x1024@32bit, AntiAliasing and Anisotropic filtering both at 4X, maximum level of detail and quality.

AcesHigh runs perfectly (same thing for IL-2 and BF1942 ...) always above 60fps. With the same system the GeForce4-4600 could not be pushed above 2X AA and no Anisotropic filtering without an fps hit. Be careful to leave v-sync on, this card can leave your monitor (refresh rate) in the dust with bad tearing.

However, looks like some people with XP (with and without SP1) are having problems (tearing, lock-ups, blue screens and so on) with the new 9700.
