Seriously, yesterday was unacceptable in terms of service quality. I was avg. 380ms for MA/SEA and with this much delay the game becomes unplayable. The culprit, as usual, Verio.
I wish HTC would do something about it, especially in face of possible influx of new players from the ad campaign they are running.

This was the worst lag I ever recall seeing in the MA.

Pretty weird experiences on Sunday for sure!

The part that really frustrated me was losing vox comms with my squaddies all night long.  Then the text lag was incredibly bad as well so that your warnings or attempts to let others know your intentions were useless.

The most memorable were the really lagged deaths.  I knew things were really amiss when I chased a P-47 off of a squadmate taking off his left wing.  I watched the P-47 go nose down thinking that he was not flying anymore and then to my surprise the plane came right back up wing gone and all!

So I dive in again and blow off his right wing - and he keeps on flying!  I was so shocked at this point and laughing at the shear insanity of it all.  What was left was just the silver cylindrical fuselage flying around the sky like a rocketship!  He finally disco'd.  The insanity lasted at least 20 seconds after I shot off his 1st wing.

Does anyone have an explanation? I mean, an official explanation?

How about just a viable excuse?

Was unplayable for me as well.

I tried to stick it out though and judge the warps, got a few kills, the warpage was just too much to tolerate though.

Every flight was the same:
wheels-up, climbout, approach fight, Lose UDP, attempt to "use the force" before the warp, get discouraged, land, relog, repeat.

Logged off and ran a pingplot, E-mailed the output to my ISP complaining of large amounts of packet loss on their hops.

I'll probably get some pimply faced youth try to tell me to reconfigure my IP settings, at which time I'll ask for someone more knowledgable. I respect those guys, I did that job 10 years ago, but I know they're just using an idiot's knowledgebase.

We should get 'lag' days off at work...?

I.E. when it's laggy on Sunday, we should be allowed an extra day off to effect a some non-laggy time on Monday :)

it definately was laggy.. flew one sortie and that was enough.
The only thing I managed to bag was a B17 group inbd to our base low and slow.

Thanks.. whomever you were..

Anyone read the Skuzzy news?

Can someone translate it for those of us who have no idea what he's talking about?

Could be the "test" arena, if it's not the test arena, but infact Skuzzy is talking about the normal MA, I need a translation aswell...

Once again I find myself in the minority regarding this issue.

Sunday seemed fine to me as far as warps go...the text buffer did have some intermitant lag and my beacon flickered 3-4 times in 3 hours but the MA was very playable for me.

Some of my squadmates experienced serious warpage though and it did get very annoying to them.

I tend to stay away from the massive base capture situations as well as huge furballs, maybe that's why,  don't know.

The interesting thing is that I very rarely get the UDP to TCP switch, maybe 4 times since v1.10, so maybe it realy does have something to do with the quality of service from my ISP...again, I just don't know.

I have a sneeking feeling that the server move won't be the fix all that most here think it will be....I surely hope it is though.
