Effective rang of Flack vehicle ???

Id always found that past 1-1.2 they were ineffective, yet today I get some bozos hitting me at 2.0+ consistantly...they good .....something change.....luck...what?

you can hit and take a wing off a b26 at 3.0k
 if you put up a barrage ahead of him when he flies over you at a base.
you should get yourself torques sights from HTC website and get used to 2.5 range shots.

I have put a buff down with a volley at 6.1, not common but doable if they low and holding course, I've also downed fighters at 3.5, depends on how much ammo you're willing to expend, now for some odd reason of the code, you can't get rounds to even impact the ground beyond 2.7, go figure

An Ostwind can whack you at 3.2k, while an M-16 has a max range of 1.6k; I used to drive these things all the time. 5" guns can nail you at looooooooooong ranges; 20k is the max I believe. And that's firing straight up.

hehe, beware..  ostwinds are very lethal with good shooter up to 2k, even against maneuvering fighters.
My best against maneuvering fighter: 2.7k n1k2 hit while it was fightning, and that doesnt happen too often..
but within 2k things gets rough for fighter jocks.

If you look up some of the ranges on flak guns, you'd notice some weird things...

Like how M-16's are listed to open fire at 3200 yards under normal conditions.

40mm Bofors are listed at 17,000 max level, (roughly the range of the 5 inch gun)

Moblewagons as far out at 5000 yards, etc

I say we track a few thousand .50 cal shells for 20 second duration and see what happens

Seriously, I have mpore success downing planes with the MG on the top of the Panzer =)
