Update, but first.
Verm, It WILL get better. Take my word for it. I've had more than my share of Christmas's like yours. Spend some time doing stuff you like, have a breather and then go out and find a GOOD woman. They are out there and believe it or not may be closer than you think. They are looking for a good man too so you have half the battle won!
Ripley, Sorry to hear you're out of work. If you can do it, take a week or so and have an impropmtu vacation to clear your head. Then get busy with the resume and go out and ATTACK the jobs out there. Maybe check on a class to help the stats on your education section of the resume. I been out of work since Sept. so I am with ya guy. Going to school next month to get my A&P cert. as my boss hasn't enough work for himself much less me too.
My take this year. Wasn't too much due to the lack of funds
. I got a shirt, a folding work stand, MDK 1 and 2 from my kid, the "classic" Christmas gift a tie
. Best of all, a homemade CD of songs and words from my son (16). I have wet eyes just thinking about it. Last and most special was the time with my wife and son.
Final point here folks os this. Say a prayer for those who are in harms way and their families who went through this time with someone far away. Lastly another prayer for those who miss their loved ones who were taken away. They have more need of love and caring than any of us do.
