P-61 Black Widow Please
Dearest HT Folks,

Greetings from Plano; Please consider modeling the Black Widow night fighter.

Despite it's role as a nightfighter, it was one of the most heavily armed aircraft of the war and included advanced control features such as spoilerons. Perhaps modeling it accurately and with all of it's actual features would be too complex a task, but as one test pilot for Northrop quipped: "She is one very fast and very maneuverable hot-shit aircraft".

Those interested in more info on the BW can visit http://home.att.net/~jbaugher1/p61.html
A basic website that offers info on all the variants of the aircraft, including performance charts, weapon loads, etc.

Thanks,
MadThor

The moment we get the P-61, I throw a tantrum for the Ta152C and the Do335.

Gotta admit, the argument for more Russki aircraft at the very least (how about the ubiquitous Lagg-3 or the Yak-1 the second most numerous aircraft in the entire war) seems more urgent than adding a comparatively rare (700 vs. 30,000 Yak 1s) American bird.

These request come every few months, it is the plane I have wanted to fly/modle since before i saw a computer (and that is a long time ago).

Did you know a P-61 has an official wartime kill of a b-29?  Click this link and prepare for one of most unusual stories you ever read. :)
