They (the senate : ie. Tom Damazinhunk) is pulling all this toejam about partisanship to make an issue out of the Homeland Security bill. I predict that they/he will drag their/his feet/foot on this until the october reccess, leaving NO time to debate or pass a resolution or declaration of war (yeah right!) against Iraq.
COME ON NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
LOL didn't even get done writing this post and I hear on the news that damazinhunk says "the vote on the Iraq resolution may not happen next week like I said it would because of all the "partisanship" that has been taking place the last few days" (not an exact quote) Why in the Hell does ONE MAN hold up a matter of national security? Can't the minority party in the Senate force a debate on this? or is he the only one who can schedule or call a vote? I have no idea of congressional rules and regs, but this doesn't make since to me how one man who is not president can wield this much power.
AND still I've heard no alternatives from him...... hypocrite.......
[edit]
btw let's not forget that Iraq was a campain issue. Bush is doing what he said he would.......
