HT,

In a bit less than 6 months I'll have my A&P. We can talk about working out a deal on maintenance. ;) Since you didn't build that lil bomb you'll still have to rely on an A&P for the upkep outside of owners preventative maint. I can school you on that as well. :)
DEFINITION OF A VETERAN
A Veteran - whether active duty, retired, national guard or reserve - is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a check made payable to "The United States of America", for an amount of "up to and including my life."

Used to be LJK_Six and LJK_Reschke over there as well as SAS_Six back when I first found out about FA2. I was a "beta tester" for both M$ and VR-1 on FA3. Nothing about either version made me want to return to the FA skies for anything other than 1-2 weeks just to keep up with old buddies.

Joe, VAC_Famine_4h  recruited me. He was the first person I met in fighter ace. He is a great guy, very helpful and polite. Also one of the better pilots in fighter ace. Tried to get fa squad to try aces high but they said it was too difficult. Aces high is the real deal, i'll sacrifice graphics for better game play. The events and community are exellent here also. The terrain editor allows for endless maps to be created. Can't wait for midway map:D

TEA_Wileycoyote? Hehehehe.......no comment. If you see PepeLePew, tell him to stop unplugging his modem cord, I won't shoot him down anymore.

Yes Sixpence there are Banzai here. I was _BANZAI_Toryu, Naudet was here until recently, and Yuto makes an appearance in H2H every now and then so I'm told. A few others have tried AH but most of the crew seems to be content with FA3, though I can't understand why...I found it quite disappointing myself. Oh well, to each his own I guess. *shrug*

And yes, Frankenstein would be a welcome addition along with the Ki-100, Ki-44, J2M, and a few others. :)

I rember most of you, I to realy miss the Frank, and those UBER 30mm canons, but snice they were not realy used on a Frank I doubt we will see them in AH.

One thing abot FA as messed up as the plane modeling is/was they do have realy full plane set for each country.

Know what I think?  Gonna tell you anyway.  A general rule of thumb is the lower number of planes in the set, the more I am likely to believe that there has been some effort to actually recreate a realistic plane model.  Why?  Because the amount of programming required to actually recreate the full dynamics of the flight envelope would take a budget equal to NASA's.  After 6 years rattling around these sims on top of 4K real flight hours I'm convinced that the only thing we can hope for is an overall impression of flight.  What really amazes me is that I remember thinking how real FA2 was, then AH, the WB and now mostly WW2OL.  They're all "games" and it's only necessary to create the basic flight model and then just wrap skins around it.  The rest comes from what the big overgrown children like me want to believe as we zoom around pretending to be the Red Baron.  Don't tell my wife, she tells me this all the time and I deny it :D
