Gatt-

You should test climb without WEP because that is how standard climb test numbers are done. You need to keep some kind of standard, or comparison is pointless.

Anybody notice the A8's engine dying with no damage indicated?  Happened to me twice, after HO passes.

Hehe Zanth, I wasnot tired, I just got up from bed. Alas I have no numbers on the G-10, but it should perform like the 109K at my opinion. regarding this point the G10 in AH seems to be undermodeled  .

Natedog,
thanks for the reply.

-Kier-,
I'll test without WEP. I'll write down time to 5K, 10K, 15K, 20K and 25K. With full armament.

Wells,
are you talking about IAS or TAS? Please check.

Werewolf,
great figures! Very useful. I'll check.

Did a highspeed head on pass at a b17 and put about 200 20mm rounds in him and he riped off both my wings. Maybe a few lines of code miss typed or something???

ok sure only 3 second differance between planes...... but it supposed to be a much bigger differance! the P51D takes ~ 1 minute longer (somewhere between 10 to 12.5% differance) to get to 20k and the FW takes ~ 2 minutes less to get to the same 20k. the pony lost about 200 FPM at sea level..... and thats flying basicaly striped WITH WEP max I can get is 3,275 its supposed to get 3,475

Aircat, you've found the worst climb numbers I've heard of for the A-8, then you find the best climb numbers I've ever heard of the P-51D.  Get a wider variety of sources and you will understand.

Wells:  I was able to get about 3500 FPM with WEP at SL, clean bird with 2 cannons.

The speed is PORKED though.

Here are my WEP results (altitude and speed)

0   350
18   391
20   392
23   394

The SL figure is OK.
The 18k value should be about 402.
The 20k value should be about 408.
The 23k value is about right.

Looks like it's about 15 mph too slow in its critical altitude range.

DOH!
