South African Airshow 2002 21-22 Sept.

got a few pics of SA Airshow 2002, here is one of a DC3 still in service.  Not much was there for military aircraft, but it was still fun anyway.

Those helicopters strike me as weird looking..the tail wheel, for example, looks like an afterthot..

Incidentally, there were 4 accidents at this airshow.  1 paratrooper's chute didn't open (just cigared) and he hit the runway - his drop was 800 ft, and no time to open reserve.  Then a T-6 crashed five miles off the east end of the runway, and burned to ashes.  An Oryx helicopter had a hard landing, and also at the end of the airshow a harvard crash landed in a field.
