I currently have an Cyrix 480 chip overlocked but still only at a meazly 300 mhz

I have the opportunity to purchase an amd k62 500 mhz chip for cheap

Is it worth it I really cant afford a new mobo or I would currently have a super7 socket is there any chip faster than the amd k62 500 mhz ?

Thats the fastest (common)SS7 chip made. Unless you can get your hands on a K6-3(rare) which are a little better.

I have a k6-2 500 on my 2nd PC and it runs AH just fine. (nothing spectacular though)

Dont pay more than 30$ for that chip, i would pay 25$ tops my self.

Many moons ago in a galaxy far far away I played AH on a K6-2 450 with a 16mb ATI card and it ran ok in 800x600 res. Nothing spectacular, but it was playable.

Cyrix isn't worth any amount of money. Sorry, one man's opinion, and you DID ask.  ;)
