Finally, now maybe we'll have more maps to whine about than just pizza. :p
Here we put salt on Margaritas, not sidewalks.

I have read that this skinning business has caused connection problems in IL-2 online. Is it going to pork H2H?

no the skin is attached to the terrain. Whenever download the terrain you ge the skin.

Folks wont be flying around in their own skins.

Il2 each guy can use his own skin, if you have the box checked you download every skin as they enter the game.

In ah it will be no different then what we have now. The main arena skins will be the same.

However custom terrains, like those used in events or the ct or in h2h can be customized to fit.

Desert skins on a desert map, winter camo, finnish markings etc.

Argh! No way to modify the P51D skin, or least it doesn't look like it so far.

what do you mean voss? Do you mean its not listed in the objects list?

Maybe this will help

Quote
All items listed in the Shpfilter.txt file will not show up in the Editor.
If you want to see all items then just rename the shpfilter.txt to something other than shpfilter.txt, or delete the file.

To select certain items to be seen, either delete them from the shpfilter.txt file or change the items name.
The easiest way would be to just put a "/" in front of the item.

For example: If "109F4" is in the shpfilter.txt file, that item won't be seen in the editor. If you made it "/109F4" by putting the "/" in front of it, it will then be seen. It would be the same thing as deleting it.

The Shpfilter.txt file is found in your C:\Program Files\HTC\aheditor\terrains folder.

Heres a file that I put together that may be of some use.

voss to skin p51d you have to remove it from the shapelist.txt (named something like that) sp you can select it in terrain editor
