My personal opinion?

whoever was the commander who sets the waypoint off map, even if they no longer control it when the CV enters 'no mans land' gets a 24 hour BAN from AH.

either that or their name is plastered over channel 1 with a fitting 'Player xxx is cheating scumbag'  :D

Lazs,  I agree with you in desiring the fleet be more difficult to defeat.  I'm not sure that would keep people from hiding it though.  Maybe modify the defensive effectiveness so that high altitude bombers are no longer safe flying slow and straight in the high alt flak and make it so torpedo bombers low on the water do have more of a chance.  Damage below the waterline should be what is strived for.  No one will ever fly SBDs as long as you can put one B17 or Lanc up to do the job.

Why is there an ability to take cv's off the map anyway? Seems kind of silly to me.

Anyhow, I think if CV is offmap for more then 5 minutes, it should be considered lost and respawn at originating port.  But preventing it from going offmap would be a better and easier solution to implement imo.

Agreed, Zygote.

It's been interesting the tactics used over the last few days. I've killed two Arados trying to get to the 'hidden fleet' and then once we had a 262 and P51 raid us on a 'deep interdiction' ruse that only got them both killed.

BTW, the fleet that has been captured for two days straight now, has been on the map the entire time. I've become of the opinon that using it would actually increase the likelihood that we would just have it right back anyway (should it be lost). If, we go for reset on knights, we should move it to the front before initiating the assault. It can only help.

(No, I have not been the one hiding the fleet).
