Squads in the SEA...
« on: October 05, 2002, 08:49:35 PM »
Hi all,
Could there be some way to allow a person to belong to a few different squads in the SEA?

Several times in the last month... with CAP, and BoB, and friday ToD... my squad has had to do the withdraw-invite-accept-exit-relog dance before the start of each frame. I'm sure we're not the only ones to go thru this each time, but it sure is a PITA. I'm sure the CMs don't need to be wasting their pre-frame time by hounding long-standing squad-members to get signed up or else.

Or at least make it so that someone can start a new squad, send invites to all members, without there having to be two people online and in the SEA to do it? This could be handled well before the frame begins.

    Just a thought.

Fun frame last night btw All

Not the way they currently track and record the stats of squads and players in the SEA. My squad has that same problem. Lol so does the CM group. I have not ever signed up in the CM squad because I would have to disband the 332nd Mongrels to do so. Though I am the head CM I am not a member in their squad. Consequently I can't communicate with CM's on their squad channel due this problem.  Never a big deal though, we just use another channel for voice or text.

Best way to deal with it is to try to get on early and grab a squadie to take care of it. Wish I could have better news for you but for now we need to work with what we have. :)

By the way, excellent escort iceMAW, dux!  We lost some, but had you guys not been there we never would have made it to the target let alone come back for seconds. :D

Not according to SLING it isn't.   He says at least a DAY IN ADVANCE you should be signed in to guest spots.

BTW -  This was for last Friday's TOD, where he was head CM??? (guesses that's what he was anyway)

Sling did not know you were a member. Guests "should" have contacted a squad well before the start of the TOD. Sling did no less than I would have.

If you or anyone else has a problem with any CM's keep it off the BB and just e-mail me.
