hurriC is a beast :)
« on: October 07, 2002, 08:41:48 AM »
Ok last tour i decided to fly a selection of planes and see what one matched my flying style or for some reason  felt right or ws just plain fun.

The BIG surprise for me is the hurriC which is fast becomeing a favourite!

started using it around tour 30, before that I hardly touched it but look at the results!

tour 30  hurric 21 kills 5 deaths
tour 31  hurriC 58 kills 20 deaths
tour 32  hurriC 78 kills 32 deaths

other noteable is the tempest which again is one i never really used until recently:

tour 29 Tempest 5 kills 0 deaths
tour 31 tempest 11 kills 1 death
tour 32 tempest 33 kills 4 deaths

The cool thing is you can see how you improve then hit the K/D wall :D well at least this happens to me :)
Im really enjoying sticking with a new type for a bit to get used to them. The only drawback is it does tend to mess your aim some changing from hispanos to mg151s and visa versa as the aim point in high angle deflections is quite marked and i do love to take the lead shots.Even so my old faithfull 190 dora is still producing the goods :)

tour 31  190D9 59 kills 12 deaths
tour 32  190D9 94 kills 24 deaths
tour 33  190D9 28 kills 4  deaths

another noteable result: :D

tour 30 P40E 58 kills 26 deaths

Dontcha just love the stats pages? :)

Last tour I flew a couple of planes that I hardly ever fly the Lame-7 and the Hellcat.

 Huuricane IIc: 44 - 14

 F6F:                36 - 12

 Lame-7:        138 - 65

Ever since I started to play this game I have flown the IIc and had a great time with it. Great turn and loop plane, I love to catch silly spitties that think they can out turn anyone and find out otherwise!

Unfortunately, the hurri-C's speed means that it can't really catch most of the MA planes unless it happens to bounce them. And that's a one shot deal, if you get close enough.

But if you happen upon a furball, it's party time. :) Also they are great for base defence.

Put four Hispanos on a bicycle and it would be exceptionally dangerous. But, revert to the Hurricane Mk.I and you have a deathtrap for MA usage.

Fighters like the Hurri IIC, Typhoon and CHog owe their K/D to the Hispanos. These, along with the Tempest, are the most lethal snap-shooters in the game. Not even the 190A-8 or N1K2 come close in that respect.
