Someone explain the def tween a normal 20mm and the ultra ubber hispano to those folks. Aren't there 20mm's different, or are they like AW's, all the same?

The 20mms are accurate... with different velocities (only thing that affects drop other than drag).  The hispanos have a very high velocity, so they don't drop as much.  The German stuff is much slower (pretty good graphic of bullets that illistrates why) and drops off much more over the same distance since it takes longer to get there.

FireFX was "dabone" in Tour 31.  He had 4 fighter sorties.

How can you evaulate a Flight Sim when you spend most of your time in a GV or boat?

If I was a registered user of that bb I would remind them that not only does AH model projectile drop and dispersion but that relative airspeed and air density also affect trajectory in AH .

Naturally, I felt compelled to post in that thread.
When I did that, funked coined the expression "cross-whine"! I love it. :)

I read the WB thread, and added a post of my own. Quite interesting. There's no doubts that gun range is MUCH greater in AH than in WB.

The whole 'community' thing made me giggle.

After all, MOST if not all the posters were Ex-WB'ers. The early AH player base was 80% WB'ers too (like me). The real problem at the moment for AH - which I doubt they realize - is the massive influx of newbies.

Given faminz (or was it palef's) postings from that kiwi Spit pilot, sounds like the AH model is smack on for feel.

Having said that? Whats this about no more development for WB? And the arena numbers - 60 in peak? Is this correct?

I truly wonder what the ratio is on AGW of people who post there, vs people who post there and still actually fly it.

How many times have you seen this: "I no longer fly Warbirds, but I still send in my cheque to support its growth, for competition is good". Or something close to it. I can *kinda* see the reasoning there, but it's weak imho. When was the last time you bought a crap product (let's say a B. Spears CD) for the sole purpose of supporting the product category in general (the music industry)? And how is that money well spent when they cease development of it and instead stick those charity dollars up their A.S.S.?

My sense (and it's just that) is that ya've got a group of folks who are more tied (just, comfortable) with the WBs community, but have pretty much given up actually flying it. And my guess is that this is where this typical lazer gunnery hacking urban myth nonsense derives from. It wouldn't suprise me to find out that his three hour evaluation of AH (cheeyah) comprises the majority of his time flyin' *anything* over the last 3 months. Probably untrue, but still sad. And by no means an authority on anything, much less to be taken seriously.

With iEN's dropping development of the game, WB's is becoming more and more irrelevant. Personally, I watch the AGW BBS out of fascination... like a human behavioral study... of people who just won't let go of something that's long since let go of them.

I do. 50 caliber bullets don't just dissappear after 1,000 meters in real life, or in AH.
