Door to door bible thumpers are promoting their religion.  So, are you saying that you equate the spoofing of something amusing that happens to be religious in context with promoting atheism?

No, as I posted earlier, its a sign of insecurity. What part of that don't you understand?  Pay for some college psych courses like I did, don't try to get free schooling from me! :D

IIRC the Bible actually encourages "witnessing". How does the act of following the tenents of your religion equate to insecurity? I think you need a Nyquil Rip. :)

Nice dance.  You said it showed a lack of self confidence.  I asked you why.  You said it was for the same reason promoting religion door to door shows a lack of self confidence.  From that vague reference, I could only deduct that you found a correlation between promoting religion and promoting atheism (by making jokes about religious topics) and the lack of self confidence that you feel is found in anyone participating in these activities.  Now here we are, and still no closer to making any sense of what you said.

What don't I understand?  How do you make the leap in logic from someone spoofing on something rediculous (that happens to be religious in context) to that person lacking in self confidence or being insecure?

Although I'm sure you're intimately familiar with the inner workings of the human mind from that PSY101 course you took 20 years ago in college, I don't care for a lesson.  You are either making a huge leap in logic or you're generalizing.  Either way, you are wrong, and I was just hoping you'd have the balls to admit it.

True... but what does "witnessing" mean?

Does it mean peddling your faith from door to door like a salesman?

Or... does it mean becoming an enviable example?

True believers never bothered me. The ones that are truly faithful without reservation. The ones that can peacefully coexist with others that don't share their faith, content in the knowledge that their faith or lack of it is all part of God's plan.

We agree completely. I was just pointing out the fallacy of Rips contention. The door to door Christians THINK they are doing the right thing. Has nothing at all to do with insecurity.

I don't know, but if I witness a dog going after my cherished 1998 Toyota 4runner again, I'm gonna mete out justice of biblical proportions!
