HT,

can or will u reduce the damage done to u when u hit a friendly?

today i was trying to clear friendles 6, as i was shooting the enemy plane, they both turned. i hit enemy with about 40 hit flashes, 1 ping went to the friendly and i lost , tail, both wings.
i lose all that to 1 50cal friendly ping on a undamged plane, yet  enemy plane took 40 hit flashes and kept going?  thats bullcrap.

id rather see my ammo zeroed out or no damage done, compaired to the mega damage multiplied as it is.

Rarely will I get a Killshooter, but I did today!.  It would be nice to get an announcement that that's what happened.  In clearing another's six I must have pinged them (pretty lucky shot!).

Before I knew what was happening, the plane was on fire with no wings.  I know pony's are fragile, but 50 cals don't do that much damage.  Killshooter with no effect would be best, but reducing the damage to 'normal' would be an improvement.

I don't remember killshooter being this 'harsh'.  Could this be a server issue?

With actual system defending buffs is almost as dangerous as attacking them:

Enemy tracking a friendly buff and u tracking the enemy, u fire a concentrated burst and the enemy explodes, but some of your bullets pass through the enemy explosion and hit the buff -> you are dead.

also killed few days ago on a 6 kill run by some idiot flying THROUGH me to shoot a guy id been chasing for 2 minutes.

As i fired at 400 suddenly bang bang pitch upwards as i see a p51 go straight through me.

This is too annoying for words! perhaps it would be a good idea to have some other kind of killshoot damage?

or perhaps it could hit your fuel tank or engine oil? at least then i would have had a chance to land.

with so many dweebs online these days this is becoming an all to common occurance!. You have a decent 1 on 1 then as you work the enemy into a kill position some idiot tries to finish it and generally ignores all around to do it.Blinkin' morons! :D

i don't like killshooter , but i have never been killed by killshooter, i have had a friendly fly into my fire but all i got was a few "pings" never any damage, so i don't know what you people are talking about "losing wings etc", of course i'm not lobbing 30mm potatos at them

How about no killshooter...

but anyone shooting DOWN 2 friendly planes in half an hour or landing more than 40 bullets within 20 seconds on a single plane will get ejected and banned from the arena for 24 hours.

This doable?

Much more easy solutions:

1 - You ping a friendly once and your ammo is halved. You ping a friendly twice or more times and your ammo counters are set to 0.

2 - You ping a friendly two or more times and the server stops processing your hits until you land and are back to the tower.

3 - You ping a friendly two or more times and your guns get jammed for the next five minutes.

Mandobles number 3 is best.

Tac, think there are too many newbies around to do that, would be nice though.

hell, It would make more sense for killshooter hits to do LESS damage than normal.  The current 10x or so damage multiplier is a horrible punishment for a minor infraction.

If killshot damage was only 25% or something the problem of killshooter would be much reduced, without eliminating it's effectivness.

I always thought there was just something wrong with MY FE Whels when I would hit a wingy with one ping and go boom.  Glad to see others have experienced this, and I would also like to see at the very minimum the damage caused be reduced to the normal damage window (assuming it is set differently with the killshooter).

RASCAL

btw....thanks for the engine sounds on the F4's....very nice sir !!

I never noticed my .30 cal class mg's blast a plane in half with only a couple of hits.

what Fatty said

As I recall it's just that all the damages you have inflicted to your "target" is applied on one single spot on your plane.

You should participate more when we have killshooter duels in ma.  A larger sample size and the rare occasions don't stand out as much.
