I'm at work right now so can't play the video, but I think the song "Die M.F. Die" by Dope was used in the hilarious comedy film "Office Space" where the lead characters are smashing the fax machine to pieces after getting laid off from their software jobs.  If you haven't seen it, you gotta check it out. :D

Go through one of those corporate downsizing drills...

You'll see the humor in "Office Space".

:)

I also like the fact that it picks on TGIF. I hate that place.

After seeing that film, I can never go into a Bennigan's, or Houlihan's, or TGIF's, or Hops, or Ruby Tuesday, or any other of that ilk without cracking a smile as soon as the waiter/waitress comes up and starts trying to push pizza shooters, shrimp poppers, and x-treme fajitas. :)  I wonder if they mind answering questions about their 15 pieces of flair? :D

One of my favorite movie scenes of all time.

Office Space is the holy montra of films here at Intel.

A new engineer had moved into my group and I went over to his office (cubicle) for the first time.  He was in a row where 3 group leaders had moved out.  They all had 12x8 cubicle setups (4 wides).  I got to the new engineer's office and it was a 6x8 (2 wide) which was a result of overcrowding and "compression".  What made it funny was that on the other side of his office... at the end of the row... was a 3x8 section with nothing in it.  I looked at the empty unused space next to his office and then down the row at the 4 large empty offices then I looked into his small office and said "Grant... we're going to have to move you down to the basement".  He reached over and grabbed his stapler and held it firmly against his chest.  I knew he'd fit in just fine.
