Too new: almost went for it, did see it at a computer store nearby, but was selling for 50 dollars above the supposed selling price (180) - nice piece of motherboard.

I went with Gigabyte GA-7VAXP - Both motherboards has the KT-400 chipset on it, and I didn't look back at all. Am happy with this mobo. ;)

I have the ASUS A7V8X great board i plugged every thing in and it worked fine!  the best part is not ever having to flash the bios! it get all exceltent features.
I HIGHLY RECOMEND IT!

NO OFFENSE but i heard the  Gigabyte GA-7VAXP had so problems with its manufacturing and other stuff! but read up on all of the VIA KT 400 boards that are out there now   on TOMS HARDWARE guide. They say there the ASus is the best one but there all right there together!

any more questions?

ill do my best to answer them.;)

Asus - heard it was one of the best already - and referring to Gigabyte: they don't have any problems with the manufacturing process - none that i know of. Anandtech recently made a review of the board and said it was the best board they have of the KT400 chipset set - including the A7V8X which was so close behind.

The only thing is that A7V8X can be used to overclock, 7VAXP isn't designed for overclocking but you can do it eventually with the right softwares that came with the mobo.

I've heard reviews stating that the ASUS and Gigabyte are both the leading company in motherboards - for both markets too.

So we both got the best of both worlds. ;)
