Aces High to scale?

May just be me but AH terrain doesn't seem to scale to me. What I mean is, our aircraft are bigger than everything else, i.e., trees and buildings.

I saw somewhere that HT stated the cities were going to get bigger. Wonder if that means taller as well? Just seems that it would be fun to fly over a city street chasing an La7 dodging buildings, without a frame rate hit of course, lol.

I always thought the planes were scaled smaller to compensate for us seeing most of the cockpit in a small window. :)

drive plane up to one of those tress or a hanger or even the sheep. or a gv

I am not saying its to 100% scale but planes arent bigger then the trees. The trees we have a of 3 types, they certainly arent 100ft red woods but they arent tiny.

Everything is to scale.  Trees are around 40-60 feet tall.  Maybe you just don't realize how big these planes really are.  I always thought the p51d was fairly small until I saw it in person, however the b17 was a lot smaller in person than I thought it was.

exactly the same experiance. When I was in Sentimental Journey I was supprised how small it was. But we are used now to 737-777s so we dont have the supprise that the people at the time had.

i too think scale is messed up. In aces high buildings and such seem way too small (to me)

pictures like this look more to me like real life scaling, but it could be optical illusion...

Everything is built to scale.

Just there's a seperate scale for each catagorey.

Wanna see a real issue with scale?  Try to line 3 F4U's up on the deck of a flattop (wings overlapped to emulate folded).  Deck isn't wide enough.  I think that's part of why some folks have problems getting fully loaded kites off the flattops, the decks aren't long enough for the scale of the plane.

some things really dont look to scale..

check out the church and the choco puffs in the attached file. the church looks like it is half as tall as the houses....
