A revelation struck me last night after participating in the 3 hr hellacious furball fight for 44.
I'm a "middle-of-the-pack" player,, know all the tricks, but not a razors-edge dude like some.
You ever wonder how in hell do guys land these tremendous amount of kills in fighters?
I mean, 8 kills, 12 kills, and the alltime shocker scrolled up a few nights ago.. One of the TOKYO SHOCK BOYS landed 16 freakn kills IN A ZEKE????!! Nobody made a comment as it scrolled up out of sight. I spoke aloud: "HOLY F&%$ !!"
Zekes don't have 16 seconds worth of ammo for gawd sakes!!?
The thought struck me (DUH!).. People landing mega-kills, have just gotta' be on a perfectly timed Field Vulch! And, by sheer luck, gotten additonal "Proximity Kills".
I can't imagine any player (regardless of skill) shooting down 6? 8? 12? mid-line players, (in a non-vulch setting) and getting back to base.
I usually rank around 300~400th,, know all the tricks,, and can hold my own. If I get 3 or more kills (once in blue moon itself!),, I'm outta ammo, outta gas, outta energy, smoking engine, and simply outta luck!
So,, how in hell do people rack up these numbers? Maybe its those ever circling 40k FW190 & 109's? 100% fuel load? 2 hr flight time, picking off strays and cripples? (no fun at all in my book)
I dunno..
Someone explain it to me?
