Nothing really special about these "re-colored" aircraft. But we are hoping for a new map to be ready for the ct and I did these up quick to get them "colored" to go with the map.

Theres nothing "historical" about these "skins" and I am suree we will see better and more accurate skins in the future for the ct and events.

Wotan, those are very nice. They are accurate in that they are believable (i.e. they COULD have been there).

Dedalu, just hit alt-i until you reach your comfort level. You can fly with enemy icons only, or no icons at all. When flying with my squadron, I use enemy icons only. When flying alone, I turn off icons. I get so much more enjoyment out of the game when I do that. I also stay away from auto-trim. I trim completely manually even for climb out and level. That also adds to the game for me. The next thing I'll do is print out some charts of each map and fly without the clipboard.

HTC: would it be possible to have an option to turn off the little plane icon on the clipboard? I find that the in flight radar info is quite historical in some settings (ie BoB), but the GPS isn't.

I'd love to see icons off, or at least reduced to like .400 k,
But if u turn them off urself u are at a disadvantage, since everyone esle has icons ...

As far as I am concerned THEY are at a disadvantage. I am having more fun and a more intense/immersive experience. It came home to me the other day just how immersive it can be. I was flying along quietly in my Mossie when I saw a shape flash past my cockpit going the other way. I had not seen him at all before hand. Then as I pulled into a high vertical turn I replayed the image in my mind and saw that it was a 110! I reacquired him and the fight was on!

I also often lose dots in the ground clutter, which leads to very realistic disengagement events. If they run low, I keep my alt and keep doing whatever I was doing.
