TYAA is a SPY...
« Reply #60 on: October 14, 2002, 12:48:05 AM »
Just to interject my 2 cents....

i have been online every day since this mission happened.

when somone calls out a "spy" i tend to be suspicous and watch what the "spy" does. sometimes .wingman them and see where they go.

i have seen TYAA on different countries.

i have seen him (TYAA) change countries while being online.

well thats my observations.
I don't know what to put here yet.

I'm not saying that spying doesn't happen at all, but that it is very difficult to prove!  I think a lot is down to pure coincidence.... you say it happened again tonight.  Well just imagine this.... at the same time as you are planning your attack on A21, the AKs were planning an attack on A29 or maybe P3.  They up at roughly the same time you do and take the same direct route - you're bound to meet up in the middle!

I'm certainly not condoning spying in any way, just trying to point out that there are always two sides to every story.  I can't say I have ever heard of TYAA, much less know of any "tactics" he might use.  However, as a Bishop, that peninsula is currently held by us, so of course I am going to defend anyone who manages to catch a sneak attack on A21!  :D  I would hope it would not be by spying, but either checking the route on the off-chance, or by accident when running a similar mission in the other direction - it happens!  :)

Anyway, got to dash to work now....

Please DMF... don't encourage the spies!   I am only 25 perk points away from the HTC tropical island vacation reward!   If it weren't for that I wouldn't care what happens to the anal strat wussies.

LOL FANCY! at least you have caveman on your side.

Yeppers... the attack being halfway there before the enemy hears about it provides them plenty of time to up in force, grab alt and intercept them.

Sometimes the idea of those "well planned" missions being predictable is too much for some to bare.

Someday both of you should give this a try:  Spy on the other country.  Get on the coms and say "an attack is inbound at base....".  See what kind of response you get.  Hell... people don't defend when there's a solid red bar heading towards a base, yet somehow, one person is managing to coordinate mass country defense.

You guys are acting like you haven't played this game long.

Mindano (sp) map is a good map to take a solo NOE hunter out in.   Just patrol the ocean in a fast plane NOE along the usual routes, you will run across all sorts of funny stuff.   I don't like spying either (anyone that cares enought to have more than one account to a stupid computer game needs help IMHO :) ) but not every plane that finds you is a spy - might be good hunters instead.

Yes, that is always a possibility they're launching thier own sneak attack as we're 40miles out.

They're gonna fly 21 to 29 in La5's, Lame7's, 190s, Spits.  Yep.

As much as I've come to dislike most of the AKs as a whole, they do have a better grasp on tactics and strategy than that, and would at least up the right kind of kites for the long trip and attack mission.

Has anyone checked out TYAA's stats?  Not the stats of a good stick. .... Like I should talk  :)

I think he's just a new guy that probably saw a bunch of friendlies heading out over the water on a raid and thought "Cool!  Something to do!  I'll switch over and have some fun!" and Fancy and his buds were the pigeons.

He probably wasn't even thinking how much of an impact it would have on Fancy.  Just playing the game.
