HA! Glad to see so many positive votes on the Pizza map!

I LOVE the pizza map! And wish there were more maps like it

Far as I am concerned Pizza map is the best of all the maps
It offers something for everyone. Furballers can still furball to their hearts delight. You get some great GV battles  in desperate fights over VB's
Plus you can get involved in smaller more personal skirmishes of only  a few. without having to go to a seperate dueling arena.

I for one dont always like the giant furball. often it hangs my system up with so much going on in such a small area.

reason from what I can see when an arena gets changed quickly is because those dweebs that do not like that arena or if their side is getting beaten badly, will jump sides to the side with the most numbers so as to kill it off as quick as possable.
My feeling on that matter is once you join a country,you should be forced to stay with that country for the entire arena rotation. OR  you should be allowed to change countries only 1 time per rotation.

Clutter on the map itself is a problem, but I  find it annoying on all the maps not just the pizza one.
 mostly from those damn chess icons. Another reason why each country should have its own color much the same way AW did. That way at a glance you can see who the primary threat is.

Most of the people who don't like that map just don't bother arguing about it on the BBS anymore since the "pizza supporters" invariably start name-calling as their first tactic and just make noise until the argument dies down.

AKDESERT has some very real problems, not the least of which is it kills AH for the people who play during off-peak hours.  Calling those who don't like it "dweebs" (or other choice terms) doesn't make those problems go away.  It doesn't help those who suffer eyestrain from the colors, it doesn't change anything for those who just think it's ugly, and it certainly doesn't make the milkrunning any less rampant.

It's fine if you happen to like AKDESERT.  However, I'd suggest accepting the fact that a lot of people don't like it, for good reasons.

Hmm has been my experiance that I see more people in support of the pizzamap then those that do not like it
true I see alot of complaints about it but they tend to be from the same 15-20 people(out of hundreds of players) whining over and over again which makes it seem like more.  Hey I dont particularly like the map we were last on but I dont complain or whine about it. I just play it through and wait for the next map. I know its only going to be there a day or two, three at the most then we will move onto another one.
 
 My refrence to "dweebs" was meant not about the people that do not like it in general but those that because they do not like it change sides just so they can  get rid of it  more quickly. I dont have a whole lotta respect or trust  for or in country jumpers to begin with. And yes Those that jump sides just to get rid of a map are in my opinion dweebs.
I keep hearing of these "problems" yet I have yet to see any of my own that I would call a "real" problem. Anything I have seen or experianced I can only discribe as minor at worst.
 And hell Im only running a P3- 500 so if anyone should be having problems there I should. In fact I have more problems in the other arenas then I ever have on the pizza map.

Sorry maybe its just me but I dont see Those "good " reasons you mentioned.
I fail to see how it kills AH for those off peak hour players.
I wear glasses, bifocals even, and I have no problems with the colors.
 If you dont like the milkrunners either kill em or learn to deal with it. simple as that. Your going to have those no matter what arena your in. they dont bother me one way or the other.
Myself personally I dont particularly appreciate being in nothing but massive furballs day after day after day. For me it gets old. but when thats the situation I dont whine about it. I live with it

But hey everyone is entitled to their own opinions, likes/dislikes And I do indeed accept the fact that there are some that dont like it. Thats fine.  Just dont try to ruin my fun because you might not like something. I dont do it to you because I dont like something. dont do it to me.
 
The way its setup now with rotating maps is fair for everyone. Leave it that way

Actually my personal preference has always been for a "multiple arena" system which is not currently used in AH.   This would permit more variety and do much to keep everyone happy.

I've got nothing against the people who like AKDESERT.  It's just not the sort of gameplay I'm after.  If we had several main arenas, we could have one with big maps, one with normal maps, and one with small maps/early-war planes in addition to the upcomming "mission" arena--everyone could be happy


I'm curious as to why you think the "anti-pizza country jumpers" are "Dweebs" (note:  I don't partake in much base capture or switch sides so that doesn't apply to me).  From their perspective, they see a problem and do their best to be rid of it....you're free to do the same when the other mapsa are up
