well pimpjoe i'm skeert of hights too (beliefe it or not and i'm a pilot) the thing is it's not like standing on a mountain or on a tall house or something.. when you look out of the plane at 14000feet your eyes are not made for depth perception THAT far and it's kindda like looking onto a blanket or a film .. there's no feeling of "fark that's far away"

go out to the next dropzone and make a tandem! even if you don't want to skydive yourselfe afterwards it's a most memorable exerience :)

Duck is right, I did a tandem jump from 4000mt some years ago and it was simply beautiful. "We do it flying", they say ;)
"And one of the finest aircraft I ever flew was the Macchi C.205. Oh, beautiful. And here you had the perfect combination of italian styling and german engineering .... it really was a delight to fly ... and we did tests on it and were most impressed." - Captain Eric Brown

WTG Duckwing, and your right about the height thing, I was very *intimidated* by high places until I decided to overcome the anxiety by learning to skydive.  Not anymore! ;)
